Groton to Rock Fourth of July With Route 1 Parade

Thursday, July 4 at 10 a.m. Be there!

The question isn’t who’s marching in the Groton Fourth of July parade. It’s who isn’t marching?

Let’s start with Grand Marshal Mick O’Beirne and other dignitaries from town, city and state officials and military leaders and commanders to firefighters, police and other first responders. Bands including ancient drum corps to marching bands, antique cars, clowns, beauty queens, radio stations, roller derby, the Mystic Schooners …the list literally goes on and on.

The Groton ‘Salute to Independence’ Fourth of July Parade is slated to kick off at 10 a.m. on Rt. 1 near Poquonnock Plains Park at Ring Drive and ends at the Groton Shopping Center.  The reviewing stand will be in front of Chelsea Groton Bank.
