Funeral Arrangements Set For Groton City Police Lt. Thomas Forbes

Funeral arrangements have been completed for , a 30-year-veteran of the Groton City Police Department, who died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head on Monday.

Forbes, 52, was at 8:30 a.m. Monday.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday at 11 o’clock at , 69 Groton Long Point Road, Groton. There will not be a procession from the funeral home. Interment will be private.

Visiting hours are from 4 until 7 o’clock Thursday at the , 310 Thames St. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be directed to the Thomas W. Forbes Memorial Fund, c/o Groton Municipal Credit Union, 295 Meridian St., Groton, CT 06340.
