Disgusted by rudeness

Last night I attended the Arts Night at Catherine Kolnaski magnet school. My daughter is in the first grade there and she was participating in the first grade "muscial" part of the performance. They sang a number of songs, each with an introduction narrated by one of the first grade students. I was disgusted at the number of people in the audience who continued to talk throughout the whole performance. Numerous times the music teacher, and the students held their hands up to quiet the audience. It didn't work. By the end you couldn't even hear the poor girl who was narrating, or the singing for that matter. It was impossible to enjoy the performance. These children have been working all year on these songs and the rudeness of these people was appalling.
