Arrest Made in 2010 Fatal Crash
Taunton, Mass., man turns himself in to Groton town police
A Taunton, Mass., man was charged Wednesday in connection with a fatal car crash last summer.
According to town police, Spencer Davis, 20, of 53 Montclair Ave., Taunton, Mass., turned himself in on an arrest warrant for misconduct with a motor vehicle and making an improper turn.
Davis posted the $2,500 court set bond and is scheduled to appear in G.A. 10 in New London on April 6, 2011, police said.
The arrest warrant is the result of a fatal motor vehicle accident that occurred
on Gold Star Highway at Welles Road on Aug. 7, 2010, according to the release. Lt. James Bee of the town police said the victim was Norman Anderson, 57, of Groton, who was riding his motorcycle eastbound on Gold Star Highway when the crash occurred. Anderson was airlifted to Rhode Island Hospital.
