Groton City Man Charged With Possession of Child Pornography

A Groton City man initially charged by Groton Town police with two child pornography charges was released from custody on $100,000 bond on a charge of third-degree possession of child pornography, a D felony.  

Joseph A Wilson Jr., 25, of 55 Greenway Road is facing one count of possession of child pron. Groton Police logs indicate he was initially charged Thursday June 6 with the importation of child pornography, possession of narcotics and sue of paraphernalia, but the Connecticut state judicial website lists only the child porn possession charge.

According to state law, a third-degree charge means the individual possessed less than 20 images of child pornography.

Wilson is due back in court in New London June 16.
