Groton Man Accused of Leaving Baby Inside A 130-Degree Hot Car

The baby was left alone in the hot car for 30 minutes.

Police say Brian Pavao, 33, of Groton is accused of leaving his six-month-old in a boiling hot car that reached 130 degrees for 30 minutes Tuesday, WFSB 3 television and the Hartford Courant report. 

Pavano was shopping at the ShopRite Supermarket on North Frontage Road when someone called police alerting them to the fact the baby was inside the car, the Hartford Courant reports. 

The baby was found inside the car and three of the four windows were rolled up, WFSB reports.

The baby was found to be alert and breathing and was taken to a local hospital for evaluation. Pavao was charged and held on $75,000 bond. 

A Georgia father, Justin Ross Harris, 34, was charged with murder for leaving his toddler in a car for seven hours when he was working.
