Groton Man Arrested In Incident Involving Shotgun

Incident reported at 3 a.m. on July 28

A Groton man was arrested Thursday after police received a report of a man threatening a woman with a shotgun, Groton police said.

According to a news release, Groton police responded to 2350 Gold Star Highway at 3 a.m. on July 28 to the incident. Police investigated and found an unloaded shotgun.

Gregory H. Secor, 52, of 2350 Gold Star Highway, Apt. #28 was charged with breach of peace, second-degree threatening, having a weapon in a motor vehicle and carrying a dangerous weapon. He was held on bond and brought to New London Superior Court later that day.

The case is under investigation and additional arrests are expected, police said.
