Groton Man Faces Drug Charges After Traffic Stop

Police seize more than 1 pound of marijuana, money and drug paraphernalia

A Groton man was arrested Thursday after officers stopped him for a traffic violation and seized more than one pound of marijuana, along with money and drug paraphernalia, police said.

Justin Robinson, 21, of 5 Wells St. in Groton, was charged with possession of more than 4 ounces of marijuana, illegal sale of controlled substance, possession of drugs within 1,500 feet of public housing project, possession with intent to sell within 1,500 feet of public housing project, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of drug paraphernalia in a drug factory, driving without insurance and failure to renew registration, according to a police department news release.

Robinson was held on a $50,000 bond and arraigned in New London Superior Court Thursday morning.
