Groton Police Will Conduct Sobriety Checks Saturday

"Drive Sober, or Get Pulled Over"

The Groton Town Police Department issued this press release today:

In an effort to reduce the number of injury-producing crashes occurring on our highways, the Groton Town Police Department will be conducting Regional Sobriety Check Points within the town on Saturday, Aug. 25.

It is the goal of the Groton Town Police Department to address the major contributing factors of injury-producing crashes, such as speed, operating under the influence, and failure to use occupant restraint systems, and sobriety check points are one of our many approaches.

We encourage all to drive safely, wear your seatbelts, and “Drive Sober, or Get Pulled Over”.
