Groton Town Police Logs Nov. 26-28

Nov. 26

Jared K. Hastings, 22 of 57 Myrock Road, Waterford was charged with eight counts of failure to appear in court, evading responsibility and interfering with an officer. He was held on a $200,000 cash-only bond.

Andrew T. Sliger, 21, of 833 Vauxhall St., Waterford was charged with interfering with an officer.

John F. Smith, 66, of 10 Ann Ave., Mystic was charged with being a fugitive from justice and was held on a $100,000 on potential extradition to Braintree, MA. He was also charged with driving under the influence and operating a vehicle while his license was suspended for another DUI.

Heather L. Small, 31, of 156 Kings Highway (Ramada Groton), Room 406 was charged with violating a protective order.

Nov. 27

Taj A. Johnson, 18, of 6 Norman Road, Norwich was charged with sixth-degree larceny.

Stephen Backoff, 51, of Brick, ME was charged with sixth degree larceny.

Robert J. Griffin, 23, of 156 Kings Highway (Ramada Groton), Room 406 was charged with possession of a controlled substance (narcotics), possession of a controlled substance, possession with intent to sell/distribute, possession and use of drug paraphernalia and failure to appear on a infraction.

Heather L. Small, 31, of 156 Kings Highway (Ramada Groton), Room 406 was charged with violating a protective order and interfering with a police officer.
