Groton Woman Taken By Ambulance After Domestic Disturbance Saturday

Neighbor Called Police

A Groton woman was taken by ambulance for treatment of facial injuries after a domestic dispute in the city Saturday night, according to Groton City Police records.

Her condition, and information on whether or not she was hospitalized, was unavailable Monday.

Antuan D. Hobbs, 29, of 57 Branford Avenue in Groton, was charged with second-degree assault, two counts of risk of injury to a minor, third-degree assault and second-degree breach of peace in the incident.

He turned himself into police this morning and was scheduled to appear today in New London Superior Court. Police had planned to issue a warrant for his arrest.

According to police records, the incident was reported shortly before midnight when a neighbor called police saying a woman had been beaten by her boyfriend and needed an ambulance.
