Massachusetts Man Sentenced To More Than 10 Years For Mystic Bank Robbery

Citizens Bank branch, located at 23 Broadway in Mystic, was robbed on July 24, 2010.

 

A Fall River, Mass., man was sentenced to 130 months in federal prison, followed by three years of supervised release for robbing a Mystic Bank, according to a press release from David. B. Fein, United States Attorney for the District of Connecticut.

According to court documents and statements made in court, on July 24, 2010, Woodward vaulted over the counter at the branch at 23 Broadway Avenue in Mystic, and stole approximately $4,267.      

The Federal Bureau of Investigation and Stonington Police Department, with the assistance of the Massachusetts State Police, investigated.  The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Douglas P. Morabito.
