Multiple People Injured In Accident On Gold Star Bridge

Southbound Side Of Bridge Temporarily Shut Down

Multiple people were taken to Lawrence & Memorial Hospital Monday after an accident involving multiple cars on the Gold Star Bridge.

The bridge on the southbound side was closed for an hour early Monday evening. Two lanes were reopened on the southbound side a little after 6 p.m. when the cars involved in the accident were removed.

The New London Fire Department said emergency crews transported multiple patients to L&M hospital. State police did not identify those injured.
