Mystic Man Charged In Suspicious Brush Fires
Arrest the result of joint investigation between Groton, Ledyard
A Mystic man was arrested after an investigation into suspicious brush fires, Groton police said in a news release Monday.
David R. Ort, 22, of 148 Lambtown Road in Mystic, was charged with reckless burning, according to the news release. He was released after posting a $25,0000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on April 2.
The arrest followed a joint investigation between Groton town and Ledyard police into suspicious brush fires, police said.

Ort was also served with an arrest warrant from Ledyard on similar charges, the news release said.
