UPDATED: Police Narrow Search To One Suspect In Walgreens Armed Robbery

Update, Tuesday 9:24 a.m.: Town police have eliminated one suspect in their investigation of Monday morning's armed robbery of Walgreens on Long Hill Road.

The suspect police are looking for is described as "a black male, 26-30 years old, 5’8” to 5’10”, wearing a grey sweatshirt and dark pants."

Update, 2:58 p.m. Monday: Police are seeking two suspects in this morning's armed robbery of the Walgreens pharmacy on Long Hill Road. The second suspect is described as: "a black male, in his 20s,  5’8” to 5’11”.  Braids or dreds pulled back like a pony tail."

Update, 2:37 p.m.: Groton police have released a photo of the man suspected in this morning's armed robbery of the Walgreens pharmacy on Long Hill Road.

Original: Groton Town police are seeking a suspect wanted in connection with an armed robbery at 5:30 this morning at the in the Lighthuse Square shopping center on Long Hill Road.

The man fled with cash. Police said the cashier was not injured.

Lt. John Varone described the suspect: "a black male, 26-30 years old, 5’8” to 5’10”, wearing a grey sweatshirt and dark pants. The suspect was armed with a handgun. The suspect fled the scene in a dark or maroon large four door vehicle with tinted windows." (see photo).
