State Police Report In On Holiday Enforcement Operation
Accidents, DUIs, and other traffic enforcement numbers from the first day of the holiday weekend.
The Connecticut State Police reports the following July Fourth Holiday Operation statistics from July 3 through 9 p.m. July 4.
Total Accidents: 190
With injury: 27
Fatalities: 0
DUI ARRESTS: 35
SPEEDING TICKETS: 1276
SEATBELT TICKETS: 257
OTHER HAZARDOUS MOVING VIOLATION TICKETS (cell phone use, unsafe lane change, etc.) 2,916
State Troopers will continue to enforce all motor vehicle laws as the summer continues.
