Navy Chief Tours EB, Accepts New Sub

Adm. Jonathan W. Greenert accepted the Virginia-class submarine on Wednesday

Adm. Jonathan W. Greenert, the U.S. Navy's highest-ranking officer, toured on Wednesday and announced the navy's acceptance of the Mississippi submarine, WTNH is reporting.

The Virginia-class submarine was completed both under budget and a year ahead early, WTNH says.

It's "probably our best program out there," Greenert said of the building of Virginia-class submarines in the article.

The submarine will be commissioned this June in Mississippi.

U.S. Rep. Joe Courtney joined Greenert for Wednesday's tour of EB.
