Phase II of the Mystic Streetscape Project Could Begin this Fall

Groton plans to bid Phase II of the Mystic Streetscape project this spring.

Groton plans to bid Phase II of the Mystic Streetscape project this spring, Town Manager Mark Oefinger told Groton Representative Town Meeting last week.

The work is a sidewalk replacement project with curbing from the restrooms on Water Street to the The Captain Daniel Packer Inne Restaurant and Pub. Construction would start in the fall or early winter, Oefinger said.

“We’re certainly sensitive to not doing the bulk of this work during the summer,” he said.

I just got nausea. Knew it was coming, however with Pettini being sued for 300,000. (plus intrest) and still completing punch list items; three vacent store fronts in Downtown; a one lane drawbridge, the hugh project about to begin on Main St. Yes, the green wall will be gone!; man oh man now Water St. Phase two. I would like to thank each and everyone of our loyal customers for your paticence. Mine are gone.
