Second Day Of Legislative Hearings On Tropical Storm Irene Monday, Sept. 26, 9:30 a.m.

General Public, Labor, Public Utilities Regulatory Authority (PURA) and Office of Consumer Council (OCC) on agenda ; Members of public can still contribute by using Facebook and Twitter.

Members of the general public affected by Tropical Storm Irene will have the opportunity to have their voices heard as the second day of legislative hearings on Connecticut’s readiness and response to the storm convenes in Hartford on Monday, September 26th.

The first day of hearings took place on September 19th. Next Monday’s hearing will take place in Room 2C at the Legislative Office Building in Hartford beginning at 9:30 a.m. The agenda for the hearing on the 26th is attached.

General public comments will be heard from 9:30-12:00 noon, followed by representatives of labor unions, Public Utilities Regulatory Authority (PURA), the Office of the Consumer Counsel (OCC) and energy security firms. Utility company representatives will be invited back for additional questions. The committees will conclude the hearings and discuss next steps before adjourning.
