Thomas Davoren Sworn In As Groton City Police Chief (VIDEO)

The chief was sworn in Friday at the City of Groton Muncipal Building.

Thomas Davoren, a former police captain and state trooper, was sworn in Friday as Groton City Police Chief Friday at the Groton Municipal Building.

City Mayor Marian Galbraith administered the oath of office.

Davoren was appointed interim police administrator in Groton City in September 2011, and became captain in March. He spent more than 26 years with the state police, including posts as state police colonel and deputy commissioner of the department of public safety.
