Ledyard’s Superintendent of Schools Dr. Michael Graner said
he’s ready to help Groton schools “realize its full potential” after accepting
a job as the new superintendent for Groton schools Monday night.
According to a report in The Day, Graner will likely take charge of the Groton school district January 1, 2014 and he has two immediate orders of business.
"One is to immediately get a firm handle on the financial aspects of the district, and the second would be to work with the administrators, principals, town officials and central office staff to make sure I can listen and understand the needs of the community," he said to reporters at The Day.
Graner was Ledyard’s superintendent for 10 years and before that, he was Superintendent of the Putnam school district, and a principal in Thompson and Waterford school system.
