The plays were performed before a crowded theatre filled with family and friends of the playwrights, who ranged in age from 12 to 18.

Doran enjoys reading and writing Science Fiction books, and is currently writing two novels. Her favorite book is George Orwell’s 1984.

“I love the concept of the book, and how well thought out and detailed it was,” Doran says.

When she’s not writing or reading, Doran can be found at her after school job at .

“I love it; it’s like a big family,” she says.

Key to her success: Doran is inspired by the people around her.

“If I grew up with boring people I would be boring, and if I’m boring then I wouldn’t be creative, and if I wasn’t creative then I couldn’t be successful,” she says.

Best Advice: “Have adventures!” she says. “You have to enjoy doing things as they’re happening, not work to possibly one day enjoy things.”
