Taylor Swift Celebrates First Day of Summer In Downtown Mystic

We know, we know.

But still, it's exciting when there's a Taylor Swift sighting locally, and trust us, Twitter goes crazy and hordes of teenage girls descend.

That was the case Friday afternoon  — a gorgeous first day of summer — in downtown Mystic after Watch Hill resident and pop superstar Taylor Swift posted a Vine video of herself and pal Selena Gomez toasting summer with waffle cones on the Mystic River. They bought the waffle cones at Drawbridge Ice Cream, which we couldn't help but brag a little about.

And then Twitter and Instagram did go crazy, and hordes of teenage girls (and their moms) did descend on downtown.
