We Want To Be Able To Send Some Kids To Camp For Free With Your Help

It is Camping Season again! If you are able to--please help The Salvation Army of New London finance some camping trips for kids who live in economically challenged homes. We would like to be able to send at least 20 kids to Camp this Summer..for free. But we would need your help to accomplish this.

The Salvation Army's Southern New England Divisional Camp CONNRI is situated on 272 acres of rolling hills, overlooking a pristine 50 acre lake in Ashford, Connecticut. Campers enjoy a wide variety of activities including: swimming, hiking, fishing, kayaking, baseball, softball, basketball, volleyball, nature studies, arts and crafts, low ropes, geocaching and much more. The camp offers a safe, Christian environment that nourishes each child's physical growth, mental maturity, and spiritual enthusiasm. Activities are under the supervision of certified, experienced personnel, where the safety and welfare of all campers is a primary concern of every staff member. The Camp is proud to be accredited by the American Camping Association, the State of Connecticut, and The Salvation Army.

Each Salvation Army Community Center in the Southern New England Division pays a certain amount of a contribution that will allow for a multitude of children to be able to enjoy these camping experiences at little or no cost to the families who send their child(ren) to our camp. This year, The New London Corps is hoping that our friends who supports us will help us to provide a bare minimum of 20 kids a camping experience, absolutely FREE...for families who would have no means of sending a child to a camp. Again, this is a goal we are setting, however it may not be a goal we can reach without your help. Your contribution, whatever it may be, will be tax deductible, and very much appreciated by the children we will be able to help.

If you are able to make a contribution to this funding, would you be kind enough to send a check or cashier check, or money order, with the word 'Camp’ on the memo to
