Just for Fun

Monday: The Mystic River Chorale invites you to celebrate their 30th Anniversary, by auditioning for their 2013-14 season.  Auditions will take place on Monday, September 9, 16, & 23, 2013, at Union Baptist Church, Mystic, CT.

Tuesday: The Groton Public Library will host a teen photography contest held throughout the month of September. Teens between the ages of 12 - 18 are welcome to submit original photography relating to the chosen theme of “Peace.” Submissions will be accepted from September 10 - 17.

Wednesday: There’s a VNASC sponsored Blood Pressure Clinic today in Pequot Village beginning at 12 p.m.

Thursday: Cub Scout Pack 34 will be hosting a Scout Joining Night for boys 6 - 10 years old at S. B. Butler School tonight at 6.

Friday: The Groton Animal Foundation’s sixth annual Cause for Paws wine & beer tasting fundraiser is tonight. More than a dozen vendors offer a wide selection of wines and beers. This event also features a popular basket raffle, along with hors d’oeuvres and music and dancing. Donation: $30 in advance, $35 at the door.
