What's Happening in Groton This Week?

Town, City and Schools meetings, biz breakfast and more.

A slew of town meetings this week starting off Monday with the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Committee Special meeting at 4 p.m. at the Submarine Base, it’s followed by the regular meeting at 4:30. The Groton Board of Education Policy Committee meets at 5:45 p.m. at the Town Hall Annex community room 2. 

And the Old Mystic Fire Department Board of Directors meet at 6:30 p.m. at 21 North Stonington Road, followed by the regular meeting at 7:30. Finally, the Board of Education regular meeting is set for 7 at Town Hall Annex, Community Room 1.

No less than six City Council group meetings are slated for Monday, Jan. 13 beginning at 1 p.m.  

Also, in the City, the Youth Advisory Committee meets at 7 p.m. Thursday Jan. 16.

On the school’s side, it’s the Groton Parent Council monthly meeting set for 6:30 p.m. at Charles Barnum Elementary School’s media center.

Check out the first networking biz event of the year with the Greater Mystic Chamber’s Groton Business Association breakfast Thursday, Jan. 16 at 7:30 a.m. at the Best Western Olympic Inn in Groton.
