Originally built in the early 19th century, the Avery-Coop House served as a family home of the Averys and later their relatives the Coops until 1991 and stands unchanged since the early 1900s. Situated on the Thames River over three acres, the home currently functions as a museum with artifacts and objects spanning the American Revolution and onward. The museum frequently hosts special events, with a calendar available on the website. Group and individual tours of the home and grounds can be scheduled by request.
