Ledge Light Health District

<p>The Ledge Light Health District covers six municipalities including the town and city of Groton. The district inspects restaurants, food-related businesses such as caterers, child care centers, hair and nail salons, hotels and motels, group homes and public pools. Ledge Light also provides health education and communicable disease prevention.</p> <p>In addition, the health district issues permits for construction and repair of septic systems, and reviews requests for changes to existing systems. Ledge Light's Groton office employs 15 full-time and two part-time staff.</p>
