Town of Groton Human Services

<p>The town's human services department administers a variety of social programs including food stamps, rental and housing assistance and energy assistance to meet residents' basic needs. The agency also offers a food pantry in its lower level.</p> <p>Human services employs three social workers, two full-time and one part-time counselor, an administrative assistant, a financial assistant and the director, Marjorie Fondulas.</p> <p>Each social worker sees about 65 families and individuals per month. The agency also provides counseling to school-age children and runs support programs for groups such as grandparents.</p>
