Washington Park

Washington Park is on Meridian Street next to the Groton Municipal Building. The 32.9-acre park includes three baseball fields, two softball fields, playground equipment, tennis courts, basketball hoops and outdoor pavilions. The park also features a workers' memorial, honoring those who have died or been injured on the job. George Marquardt donated the land for Washington Park Dec. 31, 1931 to residents of the City of Groton.
