Washington Park

<p>Washington Park is located on Meridian Street next to the Groton Muncipal Building. The 32.8-acre park includes three baseball fields, two softball fields, playground equipment, six tennis courts, basketball courts, picnic shelters and a skating pond. The park also features a Workers' Memorial, honoring those who have died or been injured on the job.</p> <p>George Marquardt donated the land for the park to residents of the City of Groton on Dec. 31, 1931.</p>
