The gallery consists of a permanent collection of some of von Schlippe's work, and offers programs for students, the academic community and public for greater exposure to art through lectures, films, concerts and poetry readings.
West Side Middle School

In addition to the academic curriclum, Butler focuses on character development and decision-making, and has students recite the "Respect Every Day" pledge. The school offers chorus for fourth and fifth graders and instruction in string instruments for students in grades 3 to 5,  a districtwide program. Fourth and fifth graders can also learn a band instrument such as the flute, saxophone or trombone.

Northeast Academy Elementary School opened in a new building in January 2008, and is part of the Groton Public SchoolMore District. The school serves about 410 students in prekindergarten through grade five, and has two half-day prekindergarten classes, two half-day kindergarten classes and two full-day kindergarden classes. In addition to academic subjects, the school offers orchestra, band and vocal programs, along with an art room including a pottery kiln. Parents volunteer in the school's classrooms as well as in the art, media and music programs. Paul Esposito is principal.

Sacred Heart School is a private Catholic school for children in prekindergarten through grade 8. The school offersMore traditional academic programs, plus advanced math, computers, French, Spanish, music, art, band and physical education. There is a full library at the students' disposal.

Sacred Heart has an after-school program for students called the "Sunshine Club," which provides a one-hour homework club for students in grades 3 through 8, followed by outside playtime, arts and crafts, and games. About half of the students are enrolled in the after-school program, which runs from 3:30pm to 5:30pm.
